Lupton Fawcett – Employment Developments |
| Lupton Fawcett has agreed to acquire Fox Hayes, once a local rival to the firm. The move will put the firm in the Yorkshire top ten in terms of size and numbers, with 10 Fox Hayes partners, 17 fee earners and 11 support staff moving to Lupton’s offices in the New Year. The teams will be based in the commercial and private client departments, with staff such as Philip Drazen, Fox Hayes managing partner, moving to the firm.
In other news for the firm, Kelly Simpson, an NQ solicitor, has been recruited in its 6 strong employment law department. Kelly joins from Keeble Hawson.
A seminar on Handling Sickness Absence is being held at the Leeds office on January 8 2009. Louise Bland is head of the firm’s employment division and will present the seminar. The seminar runs from 10 to 2 including lunch.
