With a national team of over 100 lawyers and consultants our Employment, Pensions and Benefits practice is one of the largest in the UK. As well as employment law specialists, the team includes dedicated pensions and training professionals and a separate HR consultancy, MCG. We assist our clients in designing effective people strategies and work practices to support the employer's wider business objectives and to protect their brands and reputations. We also offer our own advocacy service especially out of our regional offices.
The team offers a 'one-stop-shop' for all employment and HR issues including disciplinary issues, termination of employment, breaches of covenant, industrial tribunals, injunctions, contracts of employment, service agreements, TUPE issues and corporate support work. Our extensive client base embraces a number of industry sectors including retail, construction and engineering clients, sports establishments, government departments, educational institutions as well as administration receivers and liquidators. Examples of the team's clients include Abbey, Barclays, Cisco Systems Inc, Crown Prosecution Service, De Beers, DSG International plc, Emap Plc, Grant Thornton, HBOS plc, ICI plc, ITV plc, Kodak, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Scottish Widows, Telewest Communications, Tesco, Trinity Mirror Group plc, Virgin Group.
Additional Information
We are now seeking an additional dynamic and ambitious Employment assistant solicitor for our Leeds office. The team offers a 'one-stop-shop' for all employment and HR issues including disciplinary issues, termination of employment, breaches of covenant, industrial tribunals, injunctions, contracts of employment, service agreements, TUPE issues and corporate support work. We are focused on supporting clients in the management and reorganisation of their people resource. For contentious matters, we deliver our own advocacy at employment tribunal level and support clients in the management of claims in line with their cultural goals. The successful candidate will have an excellent academic profile and experience from one of the top City or regional firms. In addition, candidates must be strong team-players and prepared to travel as required.
